Hey guys? How you all doing? Sorry this post is a bit late, had so many college deadlines this month? 🙄 How’s 2017 treating you? Have any of you actually stuck to your new years resolutions? I know me and poppy definitely haven’t.
Anyway we’re at the start of February aka smack bang in the middle on winter. Bring on the cold weather! I may love this cold weather but my skin certainly doesn’t , the low humidity level causes my skin to dry out which is so annoying. I know most people also tend to have dry skin this time of year too so we thought what better than a winter makeup routine to help you overcome winter makeup blues and have glowy radiant skin all year round.
Excuse the Christmas jumpers in the pictures, this post was originally supposed to be uploaded before Christmas but unfortunately had to be postponed.
Incase you were wondering the grey Christmas jumper in the pictures is from matalan and is one of my favourites! Christmas jumpers tend to be pretty tacky and are worn mainly for festivity rather than fashion but this grey jumper is gorgeous and can be worn with confidence as it stylish while still being festive.
❄️️ The burgundy “I ate Christmas” jumper is also from Matalan
❄️️Jeans are from top shop
❄️️Can’t remember where the fur jacket is from but you can pull this lock off with any fur coat!
💄To start with I’ve just preped the face with a moisturiser to ensure the skins feeling nice and healthy.
💄Then for a base I’ve applied the smashbox photo finish primer oil, this just absorbs into the skin leaving it moisturised and nice and dewy.
💄Next I’ve applied revlon colour stay for normal/ dry skin and this foundation leaves a nice dewy sheen the the skin.
💄For concealer I’ve applied the NYX hd concealer which I love as it really dose brighten up the under eye.
💄I’ve set the face with MUA skin define hydro powder, this powder is really light weight and doesn’t dry out the skin or make it look cakey like lots of powders do.
💄Ive then contoured with my Barry m cream contour palette as well as using the yellow shade to further brighten areas of the face. I love using this product when when I want a radiant finish as it’s cream so doesn’t dry out skin like powder would.
💄For blush I’ve applied the sleek blush trio in brown sugar and I’ve used the shade turbinando . This blush is so pigmented and one of my favourite blushes.
💄For highlighter I’ve applied the shade ecliptic from my Solstice Highlighting Palette by sleek. I recently got this palette and it quickly become my favourite, the highlighters are so pigmented and iridescent it’s unreal.
💄For brows I’ve just filled in the brows with my Sleek brow stylist as poppy had very thick defined brows so I just used this to darken them a little.
💄Next up is the eyeshadow aka favourite part, for this look I’ve used shades from both my the balm pallets, the nude dude and the nude tude. These shadows are my holy grail their so pigmented and long lasting, totally worth the price. The nude tude is current half price at Tesco so grab it while you can!
💄I’ve used the shade sultry all over the lid as my base colour. Then I’ve used the shade sexy to deepen the crease. I’ve then further deepened the outer v with the shade sleek. Next I applied the shade fit all over the lid and the shade faithful to the centre of the lid to create dimension. I also smoked out the lash line with the shade sexy and then to finish this look I added the shade fabulous to the Inner corner.
💄For mascara I’ve applied maybline waterproof lash sensation, it rains all the time without any notice in England so gotta be prepared for the rain.
For lipstick I’ve just applied the wine red lip tick from the Katie Moss Rimmel collection
💄And then lastly to end this look I’ve applied the NYX dewy finish setting spray.
